Where can I buy wild flower seeds for large meadow area?
I need to find wild flower seeds for turning an acre sized paddock in to a wild flower garden. Any idea where I can get a big bag of seeds that are not thousands of pounds?? :) I should add I'm in the UK and want to buy on line but have only found really expensive stuff! As I said, I'm afraid it has to be U.K

- Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart some lawn and garden places that sell a variety of plants. But for a big bag, you'd be better off googling "wholesale seeds" or "wholesale flower seeds" on the internet. Not many places sell in bulk these days unless it's online.

- I'm not sure if you have any farm co-ops in your area, but they usually sell or can order a huge amount of seeds for a cheap price. make sure you get perennial seeds or you will have to do it every year!
- www.hwildflower.com This is a place near my house that sells large quantities.
- wildflower seeds are expensive anywhere u purchase. /lower your sights to start/ save seeds that do well in smaller plot/ googgle each variety/ most wild flowers are just that, not hybreds so saved seed should produce/ leave enough plants on 1st bed to reseed take some to spread/ here in US i mark plants in "wild" areas with survey tape and recover seed in the fall. also look for plants that are divisable and propergate that way
- Here's a site i found they sale wildflowers in small meadow sizes at 4.00 pounds. You can also find individual species and customize your own mixes if you prefer. The other one lets you order plants and seeds for your garden. Don't be afraid to customize your landscape to your personal taste. Have fun.
