any good links containing garden plans or designs? ?

I am trying to plan my very first garden for next spring. I'm very confused. I'm not sure what to plant in the fall and what to save for the spring. I have some plants in containers such as, asiatic lilies, trandwinds hibiscus, calla lilies, bell flowers, and datura moonflowers. Can I keep these in the house over the winter or do I have to plant them beforehand? I'd also like to have a fall garden this year. Am I too late to plant one? I am having a hard time designing the gardens. That's why I've waited so long so if anyone knows where I can find some sample plans, advice on the aspects I should address as I make my designs or anything I maybe forgetting before I start planting please send your advice or some good links, books, etc. Thanks!
