Can a bunny have pumpkin fresh from a garden and the seeds.?

I have three bunnies and just harvested my pumpkins from my garden I already save the pumpkin to make fresh pies and bread just wondering if my bunnies can enjoy some to.

  1. Yes, but don't give them too much. It's very rich, and may give them diarrhea. Seeds are fine for them, but be wary, they're an aphrodisiac. lol
  2. Pumpkin can be fed to any animal that will eat it, it won't hurt to feed him a little as a treat. But don't overdo it. Most rabbits like fresh veggies better anyway. Also feeding raw pumpkin SEEDS can kill internal worms, SO they can have 3-4 as a treat also.
  3. A rabbit can have a fresh pumpkin, but the seeds can't have the shells. Your rabbit can have up to 3/4 of a cup of cut up pumpkin, and 1/3 of a cup of shell-less seeds. But you really have to be sure to get all the shells off and make sure the pumpkin is cut up in 3 inch pieces. This snack is sure to give your rabbits a happiness boost! :)
