- yes to all
- Radishes grow like mad. I think anything will grow in south florida! Heat, water, soil. That's all ye need. Maybe some things like broccoli which like it a little cooler might take issue, but I think cukes and squashes thrive in heat.
- I think they will! I live in south Texas and I managed to get Pumpkins, Watermelon and Cantalopes growing in my back yard. Give them good fertilizer if youi want them to get nice and big though... otherwise you will just have mini pumpkins. And keep them watered reallllly good during dry spells.
- I would think so. The only problem I could possibly forsee is if it gets too hot later on in the summer. You would have to make sure they get water, and sometimes I've seen people put a sun shade over them it not protected. Sometimes the leaves themselves will provide some shade. In general they like warm sun, though. We had one appear out of nowhere in our flower garden last summer and it ended up growing on the driveway blacktop, which it seemed to thrive on, until the squirrels ate it, anyway. I suspect they're the ones who planted the seeds in the first place, though. I didn't.
- You should get both your radishes and pumpkins. the radishes grow fast. I plant them just to have a first vegetable out of the garden. I like to let cucumbers climb, I have a bull panel I put between two fence posts and they just cliimb up that. Squash should do good too. I like the butternut for havesting later in the year and then you can keep them in a cool place and have them to eat most of the winter.
