Namaste: please tell me about green cooking herbs available in markets in India?
I would like to know which herbs you can buy easily in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Calcutta... or some other places ? and, please: is it easy to get fresh bunches of such herbs in the green market, or should you grow them in your own kitchen garden ? In that case - if you should grow them - is it easy to obtain seeds ? I know there is coriander greens (dhania) curry leaves (kadi patta) fenugreek leaves (methi) dill (sowa) bay (tej patta) mint (pudina) basil (tulsi) but can you find also other herbs like chives (chhoti pyaz) thyme (banajwain) parsley (ajmood) rosemary (rusmari) and any others you might think of ?? thank you so much in advance, for your consideration xxx

- Chives you can pretty much get in big cities --Thyme, Parsley Rosemary -- I'd say grow your own. You can order seeds online or get them from the States. Nice thought of growing a variety of green herbs. I would grow Oregano too, if I were you.-- my favorite among western herbs, great for Italian dishes.
- coriander mint thyme peterselli
