Free Garden Catalogs

1~3 trees for free environmental plan. Pls read. Any info will help.?

Hi, I'm Michael. I'm 17 and currently living in Washington. I recently thought up a plan to do what needs to be done. Soon I'll be getting a job and with my money I'm planning to make a catalog of trees that will grow in the area and then go door to door offering to plant the trees the owner of the property selects free of charge and that the only thing I ask is that they will grow them. Along with asking them if they would like to have planted I will also request that they tell there friends so that the word will spread of my plan. Now I know that going door to door isn't safe but it doesn't really matter. The reason I think this is a good idea is because if 1 out of 3 yards wanted 2 trees well every 18 yards is 12 trees and there are millions of yards in Washington and millions more in the whole U.S. I'm doing something that needs to be done. Now what I'm wondering is if there are any laws that i meet to be authorized to do this? Is there any Companies that will sponsor this? I'm still waiting on The National Arbor day Foundation but I'm not sure that they will reply, so if you know any others that would be helpful.

  1. It's great to see that someone your age is already so concerned about our Mother Earth! Your on a great path.
  2. I'm proud of you that a young person is thinking how to help. Another way is find a group of like minded young people, you will need help to reach any significant numbers. You remind me of the johnny appleseed story, not a bad legacy! In fact you might reach many more people with a mailout of seeds. Seeds take time but they are cheaper initially than plants.Trees provide the air filtration so you may be saving the planet. Another Idea is Green roofs in cities. I wish you well.
