How to set up drip watering for garden plants?

I am looking for info on what material would work best....IE 1/4 main with 1/8 coming off to the plants I do not want to buy a ready made system in a store I think I can do it for less money myself.

1. I just picked up some info at Lowes on this in the plumbing section. If you're local to Lowes or HomeDepot you can got to the Store and they should have info mostly on tear off sheets on how to's manual for free instore on DYI projects. You can setup a low cost drip watering system right off your spigot on the side of your house real cheap with a few adapters and an inespensive timer w/ some tubing and a few other things that the you will find on the manual as well. They might even have something online that you dont have to drive there as well have a look at either store. I hope it helps
