Why dont mail order catalogs accept cash payments?

All of the ones I get in the mail only accept Check or credit card.

2. Imagine if you worked at a mail order catalog center. You would open mail and find $100 bill with some ones in it. You could you stuff it in your pocket and "lose" the information. Do you know that these people that work at these centers make min wage. The temptation of opening mail all day full of cash - can you imagine. All they would have to do is "lose" the order and they could walk out each day with thousands of dollars unaccounted for..
