1. A. Yes B. Ideally, a garden would be nice. C. Yes D. No. The idea is that the children learn to handle a task independent of the teacher. Like Maria Montessori said, "It is the goal of every teacher to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I do not exist.'" (That quote is from memory, so might not be exact).
