- Butterflies love Pentas, they have lots of small star shaped blooms which also attract hummingbirds and they do well in warm climates such as Florida. Attracting butterflies to your garden in other ways besides blooming plants include adding food sources to your garden for caterpillars. Parsley and Dill are sure to attract plenty, just don't be sad when they devour the plants.
