Fellow Solitaries, how do you celebrate Mabon?

Usually I do something simple. I will save some of the seeds from the vegetables in my garden as an offering. I do a simple rite and then go for a walk in the woods behind my house. This year I was thinking of trying to make one of those corn-husk dolls. Know any good sites with instructions on how? Also, do you have any favorite meals you like to cook for dinner that night? What rituals/rites do you perform and at what time of day? Can you suggest any good books or sites on different ideas for celebrating the sabbats?

  1. We bake bread, and have it with honey & apples. I tell the kids Celtic myths about Mabon and Modred and whatnot. We decorate for the fall, do crafts & such, set up the altar. Play Pagan music. Say prayers at sunset, light the Sun candle. It's not a major Sabbat around here so it's fairly low key but we do acknowledge it.
