I saw a brite orange spider in garden, know what species this is?

It was approx. 1/2" (legs included) and was a pretty and brite orange. I saw it crawl out from some pine shads that I piled up in my flower garden. Any Idea what species it is?

3. Its proabbaly not a spider, More along the lines of a tomato bug. They are BIG and orange.
4. This would certainly be a garden orb weaver, and quite harmless. because there are 2800 species of these and colors can vary widely, guessing species would be next to impossible. even a good photo may be able to get this to its genera.
