  1. google it in your area google website.
  2. Next time you buy groceries, use the seeds from your tomato, squash, cucumber, okra, sweet peppers, hot peppers etc., you can plant dry beans, but to purchase vegetable seeds locate a feed and seed store where you can buy animal feed. You can buy seeds at a fraction of what it cost for these little seed packets. As for tools, you can rent a tiller (use a rear tine) purchase a hoe/pick, shovel & rake and your in business
  3. Here is a website with about every large seed and tool provider on the internet. Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's are also convenient, and check Craig's list everyday entering the search for what you need, they change everyday so you will find most of it there.
  4. Agree with everything so far. Check out yard and garage sales or even "craigslist" for tools. Used gardening tools are a fraction of the cost of new ones and people are always selling them it seems.
  5. Start with a plan see how much room you have in your garden and mark off lets say 3or4 tomatoes a bed of lettuce, onions set can be purchased by the pound i only buy 1 pound, seed can be purchased at walmart make sure that they are for 2010 just don't go over board the first year tools go to yard sales, and see if you can find someone to plow your garden may be cheaper than renting a tiller. join some gardening forum get a ton of information theregood luck
