Revlon Nano-ceramic 1"?

i bought a Revlon perfect heat nano-ceramic curling iron. http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_product_detail.jsp?skuId=351109&productId=351109&WT.mc_id=Shopping_Feed_Products_Google_Free_Listing what does it mean when the red light is blinking.. and when i curl my hair. it deosn't curl. i dont think the curling iron is hot enough but it blinks red
