brown cucumbers! i grew some cucumber plants last year and they produced 'browny orange' coloured fruit
the fruits looked as though they were dead and rotting, i fully expected them to explode when i touched them! when i cut into the first one the flesh was realy firm, and the aroma!!! the best cue' we've tasted for years, and there were no after effects! i've tried various seed catalogues with no luck. anyone out there any ideas on variety or where i could get some seed?

- Sure it wasn't next door's cat leaving a pressie for you?
- Sounds like an interesting cucumber - try this link: www.seeds-by-size.co.uk/cucumber98.html I´m tempted to try some too.
- It sure sounds like u left them on the vine till they matured. Most cukes are picked when they are smaller and green. when they mature they turn a mottlied yellow/green/brown color. We usually just throw them away at that stage, if we do find them it means that we have missed finding them when picking cukes earlier.
