- because at those times you can see the brand name of the watch as well as other nice features on the face of the watch
- watchmakers are members of CND
- urban myth says that it is supposed to reminicent of a pain of womens legs open
- it shows the watch "smilling" (was taught that by seiko in the 70s)
- I think this is something to do with the clock showing a smiling face to encourage consumers to take a closer look. A happy consumer is more likely to buy a product than someone who's not happy.
- i guess it allows you to see the entire face with both hands showing.....dont know...i like the seiko answerer best.....the number one answerer sucks!
