How do I know when to plant a gourd?

It is February 4 in waxhaw north carolina and I do not know when I should start trying to grow my gourds . If I have the seeds when should I plant it in my garden. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

1. After all danger of frost is past and the ground is warm enough to germinate the seeds . Check with a local garden shop in your area for dates.Here in Maine we have to wait til may. t
2. Wait until the ground has warmed up. Gourds are a warm season crop and the seeds will not germinate if the soil is still cool. They will not tolerate any frost, so you'll need to wait a bit longer before planting.
