help with outdoor garden infront of my bedroom window.turtle pond involved?

well i have a shitty old garden infront of my bedroom window i want to fix. its about 2 meters by a meter along my wall and infront of my window. i have a turtle too. i was thinking of putting the turtles pond in there. what kind of plants would suit this? and any tips to help me?
