Mom makes me wear frilly pinafores, is she right?

I'm 13, mom is conservative, so at home my Iil sister and I gotta wear a sweet frilly pinafore with a bow in the back, like the one at http://dressmaker.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=90 We wear it all the time. This is embarrassing, we gotta wear them no matter who comes to the house. When my friends are over I get really embarrassed but it's a mom's law . She just says it's the right thing to do, every girl should wear those frilly pinafores and doesn't back off. Sometimes I even have to go out wearing one. I did everything to talk her out of this, she didn't back off. I even tried to rebel but shes my mom and I didn't succeed, got grounded and, of course, wearing my pinnies. Other moms didn't convince her either.What can I do? Am I stuck with my pinnies? She's a good mom, caring, nice, treats us with much love, but we gotta wear those pinnies. She says this makes her happy and if we dont like, this is just a small price we have to pay to have a so nice mom

2. explain to her that you would just like to be able to take it off when friends come over or when you go out. you seem like a sweet kid, though, so you should try to make her happy.
3. WOW. I am sorry. My daughter will not be subjected to colonial wear when she gets older... This is a way to keep you as a baby in her eyes.. Is this what you wear to school? If so how do you deal? OH MY. the only thing that will help if even is talking with her. Calmly... not yelling. ask for a regular not ruffled dress... otherwise if she will not budge i think you are stuck.
4. oof. good lord. presonally i think they're cute but i wouldn't want to wear them everyday. well. if you love your mom enough suffer then kudos to you. i suppose you could try talking to her every single day about and see if she ever relents. if it really bothers you though it's not like she can physically force you to wear it.
