What free wedding catalogs/magazines can I get?
I just got engaged yesterday and I was wondering if there are any wedding or bridal magazines I can get for free...I'm sure there are, just don't know what they're called. Thanks for the help!

- CONGRATS!!! WELCOME TO THE ENGAGED CLUB... IT IS SOOO MUCH FUN. HAVE FUN PLANNING YOUR WEDDING!!!!!
- Well you can get lots of free catalogues for invites, registries, men's formal wear etc. if you just visit web sites (just google what you are looking for). Most companies love to send you free things like that to promote themselves, so you can sign up on their website or visit stores (department stores or menswear stores). You can usually get free wedding magazines from bridal stores and registry places (like department stores) they usually give the OLD copies away (like 1-2 years old). If you want new magazines go to local bridal shows (January/February are the big months for those). You can usually get in free of for very cheap if you sign up or print coupons from the website, and then you get lots of free stuff at the shows. I just went to a bridal show/expo on Saturday. It was $8 to get in with a coupon and I got 2 brand new (like Winter 2009) bridal magazines (Weddingbells and Today's Bride) and a free wedding planner book with a plastic file folder for contracts, etc when planning. I also got like 4 different catalogues for men's formal wear and honeymoon planning. Good Luck and Congrats on your engagement!

- http://www.theknot.com Has been a LIFESAVER to me. SO MANY ideas, so many tools to help you plan. You can set up a webpage. Seroiusly, prepare to want it to be your homepage. It's definately mine now. I check it daily and constantly get new ideas.
- Go to the library! You can check out current issues of the same bridal magazines you see at the store without spending the $5 a pop or whatever they cost. Or just look around online -- lots of free resources there.
- If you want a catalog for accessories and favors, http://www.giasweddingstore.com, for wedding magazines, try going to your local caterer or bridal store they usually have magazines full of info. and it's usually free.
