Do flower seeds get flushed away by rain showers often?

I'm starting my own little flower garden outside. I'm planning to sow the seeds in the today or tomorrow. However, after looking at the weather forecast, I discovered that there will be several showers in the next few days. If I put the seeds in the ground now, will they get flushed away by too much water? Should I consider sowing my seeds afterwards instead?

  1. Yes they will get washed away. I would either put them out after the rain or start the seeds indoors then plant the seedlings(if practical). Plus birds will eat them too.
