Spanish speakers can you tell me what Epasote is in English?

My husband loves for me to use the herb/plant, Epasote when cooking. It is used a lot in Hidalgo, Mexico where he is from. The only thing is the epasote comes from our garden, not from the store and we are gonna move. I would like to buy some seeds to grow this plant in at my new home, but I don't know what it is in English. Can anyone tell me what Epasote is in English?

  1. epazote, i think is called mexican tea in english, but it might have several other names
  2. Hi! It's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysphania_ambrosioides I hope this helps
  3. Espazote* Wormseed. Or it's Latin name: Dysphania ambrosioides
  4. It spelled as epazote and it's herb tea in Mexico.
  5. It's called wormseed, epazote or Mexican tea. I doubt that you'll be able to find seeds, as it is usually considered a weed and not a desirable plant in places where it's not usually eaten. Your safest bet would be to take some of the smaller plants with you when you move.
