can you identify these plants or herbs?

I planted these seeds and my garden just over the period of two weeks is swamped with a plant......every picture that i have seen make me believe that it is thyme....but.....it does not smell like the thyme that i have in my kitchen cabinet.....can anyone explain this?? the leaves are green and spaced through the stem....not a lot in a bunch....with little tiny white and purple flowers on it....they are literally creeping all throughout the garden...please help! 2. Thymus serpyllum is the name of that, also known as Creeping Thyme Plants. A woman planted them in her garden and also says they do not smell like thyme but it is apparently.
  3. I can't view your picture but culinary thyme is more fragrant and pungent than other more ornamental types of thyme. Thymus serpyllum is more of an ornanamental variety and doesn't have quite the same scent as say Thymus vulgaris or the T. x citriodorus types.
