I would like to Export womens clothing and handbags from Bangkok to UK?

I have Thai friends who can translate for me but I need contacts in Clothing Industry In Thailand. I do not want to buy ' Knock off ' or fake goods. I want to make a go of this as a Business and would like any help from anyone in the know

1. I thought about doing something similar myself and did some research. I found there are a few conventions or shows that cover what you want. 12/4/09-12/13/09 there is a NY Gift show at the Impact Center 01/09/10 to 01/17/10, there is a Thailand Mega Show 2010 02/27/10 to 03/07/10, Thailand Grand Expo 2010 04/07/10 to 04/10/10, Bangkok International Fashion Fair & Bangkok International Leather Fair 2010 http://www.impact.co.th/event.php#dec52 The ONLY show I went to was the last one. Which they hold 2 times a year. It was also under another name. Each exhbition has a website. Check out the exhibitors by category and make sure its one you will want to attend. I am not saying to go to all of them. The two shows that are geared toward the exporter is the NY Gift show in December and the last one in April. The NY Gift show, I think NY stands for New Year is put on by the Dept. of Export Promotion. The April show has 2 days for Trade people so you don't have a lot of people there and you can actually talk to the manufacturers. There is always wandering the Pratunam area and finding the manufacturers in that area. I could not help you there. Ocean freight from Thailand I would imagine would take a couple weeks. Freight is handled by "Freight Forwarders" in Thailand, they do all the documentation for you and can check your product if required. I did check the convention bureau and their list was incomplete. There also maybe other conventions at the Queen Sirikit convention center and other places. The major conventions or shows are held at the Impact Center and when you get there you will understand. 2. i know Thai clothes are cool espeacially at platinum it's a wholesale market i'd recommend platinum (factory price)there're some but some of them has thier own brand too and i really like it i brought them to the US too and mosts my friend were like where did u get that shirt hahah the cheapest one i got was 100 bath how cool i know right or like 200 bath good price nice design(cool^_^)
3. Importing Knock offs or fake goods is illegal. You will find yourself in Jail or paying big fines. Think about it.
