birds not eating from bird feeder?
i hung a bird feeder outside today. there are birds in the area but they are not coming to the bird feeder. perhaps i need to give it more time? im concerned it may be too close to my apartment or that the bird feeder is a poor quality and they cannot see the seeds. maybe i need to give it more time. this is what i bought. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2515449

- You just have to wait..give it a week or more..my mom has the saem bird feeder and she gets birds, squirrels and chipmunks...it wouldn't be too close to the apartment b/c my landlady has a bird feeder right on her window ledge and the birds love it..also what kind of seed are you using? Make sure it's a kind that attracts birds native to the area
- give it more time.depending on the people traffic nearby is when the birds will find it.do you have the right kind of food for the birds?don't let the feeder get moldy from the weather.don't feed any more then your going to feed them this winter.birds will somewhat depend on the feeders during the winter months(when they need it the most). enjoy bird watching...
