Serpent melon recipes?
My mom got some serpent melon seeds from a mail order catalog not expecting them to actually grow, but thinking it would be a fun experience. Now we have 4,1 foot long melons. I've also heard they're supposed to taste like cucumbers, but I'm not sure.

- I think I have heard of them. Try making a cucumber casserole, using serpent melon as a replacement for cucumber. Hope this helps.
- It sounds really interesting. =) Not having tasted one, I don't know if cucumbers recipes would actually taste great with your Serpent melon. Maybe you can slice open one and taste it. You might just want to eat some with a dip. Brown sugar mixed with sour cream or yogurt like this one: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Yogurt-Fruit-Dip If it has more of a light melon taste, you might pair it up with more flavorful fruit for a fruit salad. You can drizzle concentrated orange juice mixed with yogurt or sour cream over it. If it truly tastes like a cucumber, you might want to make a Greek Orzo salad http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Greek-Orzo-Salad/Detail.aspx. or http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Mandarin-Chicken-Pasta-Salad/Detail.aspx
