1. To tell you the truth I wouldn't do it from seed. Banana don't come true from seed many times and can be slow and difficult to germinate. I would just get a young plant, a few bucks more but much simpler and more of a sure thing when it comes to fruit quality. Try the link below, they have a pretty good selection and the prices aren't bad.
2. Just a caution to you banana seeds are very difficult to get going- I would suggest purchasing the plant from a walmart over starting from seed- and I am speaking from experience on this.
