What plants would be good for my garden pond?
I have a 200 gallon garden pond in my back yard that has a small waterfall and four koi in it. It gets some sun in the morning but not a considerable amount. I have one small pot of arrow arum (or something very similar to it) but I would really like to have a couple other plants in my pond. I live in zone 7...HELP :)

- here is a great article on how to stock and maintain a garden pond: http://www.hintsandthings.co.uk/kennel/fishpond.htm
- well you have to have a lily to put in your pond, that's almost a requirement...there are many colors to choose from, see if you can find Water Pickerel (purple bloom, very hardy) parrots feather, water lettuce or water hyacinth would be nice you might also find a local river or creek in your area and look for "native" plants, they are easy to dig up and repot and you know that they are hardy and can handle winter, many of the plants offered in water garden catalogs are native to southern US and are easy to find
