If you put granuled pesticide for red ants in a vegetable garden,is it harmful to eat the produce?
I am getting ready to weed,rototill and add new soil,then plant,but red ants have taken over and I am allergic to their bites.Help! Thanks!

The method is affectionately called the "Texas Two Step" and it will give you long term ant control without harmful chemicals. In 1997, the Texas legislature approved a $2.5 million grant for red imported fire ant research. The research was conducted in the years 1998 and 1999 through the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, Texas A&M University System, the University of Texas, Texas Tech University, and the Texas Department of Agriculture. The Texas Two Step was one of the results of the research.
- there are directions and CAUTIONS on the container the pesticide came in.... read them.... follow them exactly..... big diff between red ants and FIRE ants in what you can use against them.... do be sure of what you are fighting and what you're fighting with!!....
