What are those springy stilt things called. A bit like a pogo stick on each leg?

Are they available from mail order catalogues in prison.

I believe they are found in the "Behind Bars" catalogue, along with non-slip soap.
I couldn't possibly do betterer than that there description but I recall them to be used by the Russian SS and weren't they petroleum powered? Do that there shopping channel beginning with the letter "Q" do them?
Stilts? And yeah they're avalibile in prison, that's the whole point of prision isn't it, to reward people for breaking the law =)

Yes , I'm with you 100%, PF! - I too have longed to bound around on a pair of these marvellous springy stilts ever since I saw them in a TV advert. Good'uns can be quite pricey - a coupla hundred quid or so - but I guess you gets what you pays for. You could maybe knock up a pair of cheapies from wire coat hangers and two bouncy rubber balls - but I doubt these would get you all the way over the perimeter fence. Good luck!
