Has anyone ever purchased new kitchen cabinets from the Habitat for Humanity Restore?

Our local Habitat for Humanity sells new kitchen cabinets that you order through a catalog. I haven't seen the catalogs, but I'm wondering if anyone has any information about the products. I'd like to know the quality and price compares with say, Home Depot or Lowe's or Sears?

1. You might have to do that yourself. The reason I said that was that I have seen a lot of stuff in out Restore building that has been over priced as far as I think. Check out the different store catalogues on line. This way you can see what the price differences are.
2. I am not familiar with the cabinets that you get through ReStore. I might suggest that you determine the cabinet maker and compare that way. It is very likely that the cabinets are made by KraftMaid or one of the other big companies and that similar cabinets can be purchased at the big Home Improvement Stores.
3. To be honest I've never personally seen the reStore line in person, only through their catalog. I do know it's designed to be an entry level product. It's going to be on par with Mills Pride (previously available at Lowes, but now out of business). I'm a kitchen contractor by trade, and I get most of my cabinets from http://www.cabinetgiant.com . They have the best prices and the cabinets are much better quality for the money than others I've shopped. This sounds impossible, but they usually come in a couple thousand dollars less than Lowe's or Home Depot (that's after delivery too!) They're worth a look. All Wood cabinets really are the way to go, and that's all they sell. The other reason I go with them is they are quick! They have everything in stock and usually ship out next business day. As a contractor getting my products within a week or so makes a big difference in finishing kitchens ahead of my competition. Cabinet Giant is kind of like my secret weapon. They're good to deal with also. Andy is the salesman I usually deal with. He's great. Just be sure you double check your order so that nothing's missing ;) Hope this helps!
