Why Are Buttons Sewn on the Left Side of Womens Clothing and on the Right Side of Mens, but on Ralph Lauren?

Why Are Buttons Sewn on the Left Side of Women's Clothing and on the Right Side of Men's, BUT on Ralph Lauren polos the men's and women's polos buttons are on the same side?! (the right side) I was wondering why Ralph Lauren didn't design the girls/womens polos to be on the opposite side of the mens. Instead the womens and mens polo buttons are all on the right side.

  1. idk try googling it. Maybe he just wants to be unique as a designer and different. :)
  2. I realize that I'm not fully answering your answer, but perhaps the reason that the buttons are on the same size is because they're manufactured in the same way, and so are unisex kind of. The manufacturer probably does not want to waste the effort putting buttons on a different side. Check out this link as to why men's and women's clothing are buttoned on different sides: http://ask.yahoo.com/20031205.html Hope I helped!
