Why does the Victoria's Secret catalog sell such bad quality clothing for silly prices?

I recently bought a "silk and cashmere" sweater from them for $78. It looked gorgeous in the photo but when it arrived it was stretched out and the color was faded it looked like it was bought from walmart! outrageous

1. Because they KNOW people will buy it. Even if they know that it's poor quality. Consumerism!
2. because everyone is so obsessed with vs cause its a status symbol and they think they can get away with ripping ppl off im sorry that SO stinks! :(
3. believe it or not wal-mart has better material, Victorias secret sells it at that price because chicks, spoiled girls , whatever are dumb enough to pay that much, yeah their bra's are good quality so if they have good bras then they'll have good clothes .WRONG.
4. isn't it that same way with everything?! hollister, ae, aeropostle: but maybe they're not that bad.........
