Why are thin women wearing plus size clothes, in plus size clothing catalogs?

WHY does this make sense to the plus size catalog creator?

2. I think it's because the company feels that if they have thinner women modeling their clothes, they will make more $. They may think the majority of potential clothing buyers will be less likely to buy if a plus-size model is wearing the clothing. This has also bothered me for years.
3. I am not sure that that is true because if it were, then the clothing would be hanging down on them, or be very baggy. Where as the models in question are actually wearing their correct size it appears to me...

6. well because thin women sell clothes thats why when you get to the plus sized section of the catalog normal people think ugh..no... they arent actually 'thin' though they are the thinnest plus size obvioulsy if you sell clothes to say..size10-24 obviously youll get the size 10s to model for because for example in the swimwear no one wants to see cellulite and stretch marks that the bigger women have so they use the 'smaller' plus size girls overweight but not obese
