What kind of plants/flowers would go in a Butterfly garden

- Any bright color big flowers will attract butterflies. Example: Hibiscus.
- Asclepias (butterfly weed), Buddleia (butterfly bush), Echinacea (coneflower) are all butterfly favorites.
- I know it's not a bright flower, but plant parsley for the big, black beaties it attracts. The caterpillars are beautiful as well, and you can watch them go from caterpillar to butterflies. I'm not a fan of parsley, but I plant it just for the butterflies it attracts.

- Not knowing where you live I can give you general plants. Please check out your growing zone to make sure the plants you select will grow in your area. http://naturehills.com/gardening/blogs/helpful_gardening_tips/archive/2008/01/23/butterfly-gardening-tips.aspx http://naturehills.com/gardening/blogs/featured_plants/archive/2008/04/19/dutchman-s-pipe.aspx http://naturehills.com/gardening/blogs/common_questions_answered/archive/2008/04/18/what-plants-attract-butterflies.aspx
