I Have 6 pepper plants that I just transplanted into a small garden. How much water should each plant get?

I really want to produce some peppers, how much water should I give them, and how many times a day.

  1. one cup of water
  2. For any vegetable you should slowly soak the ground up to the point where water starts to puddle or run off and then let it dry out until the top 1 1/2 to 2 inches of the dirt is dry and water again. This in normal situations should be every three to four days. If you water small amounts several times a day you will not get a very good crop of peppers or any other vegetable. Plants need to be able to breath, when the ground is dry they take in oxygen and when it is wet they take in the water. There needs to be a balance between the two elements or the plants will not grow or produce.
  3. treat the same as tomatoes, add potash to boost the flowers and fruit, add water every other day.
  4. one inch a day
