- It definitely looks man made, god knows what it is though!
- Is it a musket ball ? ooh no its to big for that
- That's quite cool if it is natural. I think it is natural... Ooh...
- I dont know... but that is really cool. how deep was it? how long have you been living in that place?
- it could be a geode which is a hollow rock with crystals inside. some are worth alot of money. see if you can find a geolagist to look at it.
- Well, maybe this rock came from a past volcanic eruption and then it landed on the river, gradually being eroded by water through the years. And it got picked up by the some people who used it for the foundation of your house! Hm, this is just a guess actually, but it's worth a try! Maybe you should have geologist check it. It might be a geode. Take care!
- More than likely it is the center of an old baseball. The outside deterioed
- its a small cannon ball... its from a small calibre weapon and i know that it is pre 16th century....used before the invention of bronze / iron balls they were carved by hand they changed to iron balls in the end because the stone could not be carved fast enough for war and the bronze balls kept exploding inside the canon... if you have got a museum near you contact them they will be able to help you more, i haven't got enough space on here to give you all the details about it ...good luck...arf.
- cool...i don't know. but i would like to! that's an awesome rock!
- it's either Jack Nickolaus's lost ball or a mini dinosaur poo.
