Will creeping jenny overpower other plants?
I planted some creeping jenny in my rock garden, will they take over all the other plants in there ?

- I'm no plant expert or anything, but knowing myself, I wouldn't want to dig it back up and re-plant it. If it did star taking over the other plants, you could always prune it once in a while.
- Creeping jenny has a very superficial root system, so other plants can come through it just fine. I have it throughout my shade garden, and I have never lost a surrounding plnat. Not to worry!
- Creeping jenny is shallow rooted so I don't think it will interfere with your more deeper rooted plants. I have it in my shade garden and it has had no impact on the ferns and various other plants I have installed there.
- It will. It is very invasive. If it gets in your yard and is not controlled early, it will be hard to remove. It is not easily removed by weed and feed type fertilizers. So I would question why you planted it.
- I've been trying to get it out of my raspberries for years. Why on earth would you plant such an invasive weed? I "got" it from my neighbor, and she has NO grass. None, nada. All she has is jennie. It killed every single blade.
