I live in columbus,ohio and i'd like to start an inexpensive butterfly garden.?
When should and what should i plant? Also my freind said she heard they r attracted to sugar water,is that true? Thanks

- there are plant that attract butter flies they are called butterfly bushes they come in a rain bow of colors but i like the black beauty i did come to the flea market in cinn.ohio and i sold out evertime i brought these they also come in pink ,yellow white purple i have been in nursery work for 20 years in tennessee
- i started with one white butterfly bush, it made a baby purple butterfly bush, then the year after that, had 3 or 4 baby bushes start. you can't beat free bushes. just wait, you'll have a whole family, from one bush.
- the Monarch buterfly loves milkweed plant when it warms up go hunting for some. there should be a place on-line to get catterpillers,,why not they do praying mantis and ladybirds and worms
