I'd like to place more butterfly loving plants into my garden. Any suggestions?

I have a butterfly bush that they love, what else can I plant?

1. I have several types of lillies and other wild flowers growing in my flower bed and always have several butterflies, humming birds, bees always around. Not sure what they are really interested in however, they are there every year.
2. Native wild flowers. Check your local stores, I actually like milkweeds. The scent is faint, very sweet and it is the only plant monarchs larva can live on. They are perential, water hardy and the silk(?) is nice for pillows.
3. I have Bee Balm in my garden. Butterflies loves it. I also have Black-eyed Susan, Lantana, Phlox, Hibiscus, Coneflower (They seem more attracted to the purple). The butterflies seem to love all of the ones I've mention. However, my favorite is the Lantana.Check to see which plants would best suit the zone your in. Also the amount of area you have because some plants can be very invasive especially Bee Balm. Hope this has help. Happy gardening.

5. Milkweed "Asclepias" is a excellent choice for monarches but another one I find that attracts many different kinds of butterflies is the butterfly bush "Buddleia"
6. The one essential plant is butterfly bush, grow quick are easy to propagate by your self. Another plant that gives instant gratification is Lantana.
7. Homestead Verbena (purple).....they loved it last year and it's a very hardy plant in my area (7b). Be aware that it can be invasive. It also attracted Hummingbird Moths....interesting litte creatures.
