KidCraft or Step 2 play kitchen?
I'm trying to decide between the KidCraft delux kitchen or the Step 2 Lifestyle Party Time Kitchen. Which do you think is better? Do you have any expierence with either? - I have the Step 2 kitchen. We bought it for my daughter for Christmas when she was 1.5 yrs old. She is now 3.5 yrs. old and still plays with it on the daily basis. We also have the Step 2 vanity that we bought last year and this year we are buying the doorway play house to put in the doorway of her play room. I love step 2 products. They are high quality and not that expensive, they hold up to extreme toddler play. They are also made in the USA in Ohio. I would go with the Step 2, but as you can tell I love their products.
- Hard to choose. DId you look at it in the store, or online only? Is it for a boy and a girl or just a girl? My sister got the pink one for her kids last year. It is very girlie, but her 3 year old son does play with it. My kids had a fisher price on that was plastic and very sturdy. It lasted for years! I think I like the the step 2 one better. Good luck!
- I have an older version of the Step 2 and it's a wonderful thing to have around!! I love the Step 2 because it has very realistic "appliances" and my kids just love playing in their pretend kitchen, best purchase I've ever made!! My 21 mos old plays in there as well as her 6 yr old sister and her 4 yr old brother!! So it's fantastic!! I like that they can actually press the buttons on the microwave... I would without a doubt choose the STEP 2!! Good Luck!
- I like the girlie one...its soo cute!! i am actually buying one for my daughter who is 16 months...
- STep 2 all the way!!! Their products stand up to the toddlers. lol We just bought this same kitchen off Craigslist for my daughter and paid $15.00 for it. And as you see it's a $130.00 kitchen!! And we're using it as a christmas gift. Something else nice about step 2, you can call them and get extra pieces/pots/pans/food...for a very reasonable price, and it will match the kitchen. My daughter saw this kitchen in the store and LOVED it, she was even kicking and screaming when I had to take her away from it, which she has never done before!!! So I really think it's a good investment. We also bought the Step 2 house. And got that for $5.00, and it's a $500.00 house!! lol And it was missing the phone, a dial rod, and some stickers, we called Step 2 and they only charged us $7.00 for all that. And that was only because we weren't the original owners. So I thnk overall Step 2 is the way to go. Good luck in your shopping!! P.s. you could also check out the Step 2 shopping cart! It's pretty cool too!
