Would winning "Best Yard" make you deliriously happy?
I heard about one of those homeowner communities and they award one homeowner with a sign for "Best Yard" each month. That just would make me fall over and die with joy. I can't help it I'm a passionate gardner and can't plant this year because I'm moving in a couple of months. Its agonyyyyyyyyy! My Gurneys catalog keeps coming and it cry as I throw it away. I don't even want to look at it, its too painful to know I can't garden this year. Anyway, do you take as much pride in your lawn and garden as I do? : )

- Probably not
- My husband shares your gardening joys, I do to a lower degree, but yes, it would be very satisfying, to see him win a best yard sign. I'm sorry you are in such a position, to not be able to fullfill your yard desires this year, but since your moving, look at it this way, you can plan and layout your new yard decors, buy getting a book on landscaping/flower beds, and you just might still have time after your move, to get some gardening started, then add to it next time.
- First of all, i can tell that you are really passonate about your gardening. So keep it up! And i think that winning "best yard" would make you VERY happy! And sadly, i like gardening... but not that much. I only have a tomato, watermelon, sun flower, aloe, and another flower plant. My fav. is the aloe plant. Anyways... maybe where you're moving has something like "best yard". You should check into it. Also... if it doesn't, and u think that you'd be miserable... maybe you should find somewhere else to move. It's just an idea... HAPPY GARDENING!
- YES. I would take photos of it in my gorgeous, awarded yard, and send it by email to my whole address book! Yes. I share your passion. I, too, moved recently, and it killed me not to plant while we were preparing to go, but lemme tell you, I dug up everything I could to take with me. My hubby was slightly irritated with me as he was unloading boxes and needing help with furniture, I was busy getting plants in the ground so they wouldn't die! LOL Happy Gardening (when you get to where you're going)!
- I've recentley developed a ridiculous enjoyment from gardening which even strikes me as ironic as I'm a 24 year old guy who just got out of the army but dog gone it plants are awesome. I'm currentley living in Chicago and renting and don't have the luxury of a landscape to build right now but i have a whole notebook of ideas and plans waiting for a yard. Since I can't garden my own yard right now I've been helping the guy next door and have been getting him excited about gardening and starting a few things this year. I know it might not be as exciting but go and talk to some of your neighbors who are gardeners odds are they'd love to talk about it and maybe you could help them with thier property and try and win the competition together. last night it was raining and I kept thinking about how happy the plants must be....... Then i realized..... I'm a gardening nerd.
