Where to find a laughing buddha garden sculpture?

Ok, so I saw this laughing buddha/hotei statue in a catalog once while looking at it with my girlfriend she really liked it. Her b-day is coming and I really want to get it, but we don't have this catalog anymore and I can't find the statue. I am hoping to find the name of the company that sends these catalogs out so I can call them or check their website and order it. It was one of those sort of "yoga style" catalogs, not just yoga stuff, but a lot of clothes and items for meditation, etc. It sort of looked like a coldwater creek catalog in layout. And it was a garden sculpture, so it included those kinds of things. Does anyone else get these? Do you know the names of some of these catalogs and maybe I can find it. Whoever gives me the name of the right one first gets the best answer (of course) Thanks all!

  1. try antiec shops, chinese or asian culture inspired stores. many stores that sell bambo usually sell budas. find a lowes or home depot or other type of home and garden dtore. auctions often have them for cheap. good luck wit ur meditation room HUmmmmmmmm jk lol
  2. If you live in a larger city, these kinds of statues are commonly found in Chinese curio stores. Sometimes you can find such statues in garden stores or even in antique shops. Here are some online options: http://www.holy-statues.com/product/567/ http://www.dharmacrafts.com/100xGS/2ST017/hotei-buddha-garden-statue.html http://www.rainbowcrystal.com/atext/altar1.html http://www.mountainvalleycenter.com/store/html/fstatue2.htm You can also shop on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=hotei&category0= http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=1&from=R10&_trksid=m37&satitle=laughing+buddha&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=98115&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1
  3. As P'ang mentioned, the catalog you saw might have been from Dharmacrafts, tho imo, their layout is not so similar to Coldwater Creek's. The Dharmacrafts catalogs I've seen do usually feature several pages of oriental statuary/sculptures, indoor and outdoor. The catalogs from Gaiam, Inc, might be considered similar to Coldwater, except I don't recall ever seeing them offer a laughing Buddha. They produce three catalogs line/titles: Gaiam Mind Body, Gaiam Living, and (least likely I think) Gaiam Real Goods. http://www.gaiam.com/ Good luck, dwb
