What plants do you recommend for a fairly shaded courtyard garden?

  1. hostas and ferns....can mix in some annuals (not sure where you are located) impatients are beautiful shade plants...
  2. hostas, coral bells, inpatients, mona lavender, there are many but these are some of my favorites
  3. Astilbe, Blue Pearl Polemonium, Forget-Me-Nots, Helleborus, Hosta, Hardy Primroses, ferns & Bleeding Hearts.   4. I agree with suggestions so far and would add: Columbine Lily of the Valley Sedum
  5. At our greenhouse we grow lots of shade loving plants. Their are hosta, ferns, some grasses, caladiums (which are my favorite) and then a few of the part sun plants would work here as well. Just make sure it has at least 4 hours of sunlight either in the morning or afternoon and you should be okay!
