Is there a way to kill small amounts of moss from a shade garden without affecting the other plants ?

- Small amounts? Sure. Get one of those claw-shaped hand tools and loosen it. Rake it off, and toss it. Ruffle the soil a bit more to loosen it. Unless your other plants are acid-lovers, add some limestone (ground or pelleted) to your soil according to package instructions ... if you have moss I would bet your soil is acid. I actually like moss in a shade garden. It kind of mulches the plants in naturally.
- I'm cool with moss and try to encourage it for ground cover great for places that wont grow grass and no need to mow.
- use a shovel to dig out what you don't want
- you can get moss remover from any home/garden store.
