What is a good variety of plants for a shade garden in Tennessee area?

1. Ooh, there are lots!! I live in Georgia, and Astilibe is very pretty, as are impatiens. I;ve also used coleus and hostas as more of a ground cover, but the impatiens are my favorite in a huge variety of colors.
2. Depending on your altitude, I would say Hostas are a safe bet, perhaps African Violets, most varieties of Fern...depends on what you're looking for...
