Where's the best place to piss in the garden?
Because of the drought we have water restrictions so I have decided to always piss outside to save toilet flush. However, I have heard that some plants like urine and some don't. And I believe urine makes great compost with dead leaves. And lawns are a no no. So you see my dilemma.Oh yes. And should I move around a lot because over-urinating can be harmful? Much obliged - FB

- urine is ph balanced at 0. so it won't hurt any plants or grass.-blurey
- Anywhere except on plants. I'm not that familiar with human urine, but I know that my dog kill every plant he pees on. Just choose a secluded spot without vegetation.
- piss is highly acidic, just piddle around your favorite compost heap....Peace
- Tomatoes and shade plants love acid in urine.
- if you're diabetic your sweet urine will attract butterfies!
- The thought about water conservation is good, but please, don't offer the vegetables to anyone except yourself.
- Urine is a great activator for compost - come and piss on my compost heap! Beans and peas love the nitrogen and tomatoes love it too, but not everyone would be prepared to eat them afterwards (it's safe I'm told, as long as you're not carrying any diseases or strange parasites). And most trees will like it (not soft fruit though I believe).
- i always piss on my compost heap when i'm outside. Urea is a good fert, it just takes the time for the nitrogen in the urine to break down into nitrates (absorbable by plants). I wouldnt advise pure urine though, this will kill the plants
