Are termites harmful or harmless to plants?
There's are tolerable number of termites under the mulch in my garden. Are they harmful or harmless?

- don't worry about the plants, termites can damage your house. call an exterminator.
- Termites anywhere around your house will eventually get into the house and cause major damage. Call an exterminator and have them check as soon as possible.
- They are completely harmless to your plants and trees. They only eat dead wood. They are actually beneficial to your garden, because they tunnel through soil, which enables air and water to enter it easier. However, they are extremely detrimental to your house, shed, or any other wood structures you may have.
