Are rocks in your garden harmful to your plants or are they just annoying?

- Rocks aren't harmful to your plants. Just annoying when you are weeding them out. When I have a garden planted, I make sure the rows are far enough apart to use a roto tiller to get between the rows. This works great, because the tiller pulls the rocks to the surface, and you can easily remove them. Good luck!
- Plants & rocks are natural phenomenon, and usually get along fine..... they can be a bit of an eyesore in fancy flowerbeds, but of course in some cases they can also be used as a decorative feature (e.g. a Rockery / alpine garden).
- Rocks are only harmful if they are in sufficient quantity to prevent root growth.
- Rocks are not a problem in your garden beds. In fact, they can assist in soil aeration.
