Does anyone know a good cheap website to buy water garden plants from? I'm looking to buy a large amount of Anacharis and other floating plants for my water garden. I was also wondering if snails really work to help control Algae and what kind of snails? I have a three gallon pond and live in Oklahoma. Thanks That's a three thousand gallon pond.
Is rainwater running over asphalt roof shingles toxic if you use them to water garden plants.? Im saving rainwater in a bucket to water my vegetable garden with. A co-worker said this would harm my plants. I've never heard of this. Any thoughts? Thanks

How would soapy bath water affect garden plants? If during the dry season I used bath water to feed garden plants/lawn etc would it damage plants/vegetables or ruin the the soil/lawn in any way??? Water Garden Plants, how to introduce? I was just given some water lilys and irises. I have no idea how to introduce them to an existing outside water area with decorative fish. Does anyone know if they need to be planted or can they be free floating? I only know that they are lilys and irises. Not the type or anything. The holding area the fish are in is not a pond yet. Does fluoride in tap water effect garden plants? Since the city added flouride to our city water supply, my tomato plants and avacado tree are not producing the fruit they have in years past. Same with other people I know in my San Diego community. I am totally on city water, no cistern available. I was thinking if fluoride can be harmfull to humans, why not plants. San Diego County added fluoride to our water supply. Amount is unknown.
Does a little warmer water happen to kill garden plants? i need a guide to watering my garden plants? Can I use affected aspestos rain water on my garden and my pot plants? How to keep fish alive in a water garden? I bought a small fountain and I have 3 plants in it with 3 tad poles and 2 fish. I have a Pix if want to send me a message. I am worried that the water is not good water for my fish. My Fiance thinks that the plants are too much dirt for a small fountain or my water garden is needing an oxygen pump to keep the Fish alive. My mom has a similar larger scale water garden with a Fountain, plants and fish the only difference is she has well water and her watergarden is much larger than mine. We are currently under strict water restrictions due to the drought and are only aloud to use recycled water such as from bath, dishwater or washing machine to water plants. As I have a toddler I dont like to leave water sitting in bath, so hoping it is ok to use warm water so I dont have to wait for it to cool.
How do I get rid of tadpoles in my atrium water garden? I, unwittingly, purchased water plants from a source that I think had tadpoles. Soon after I noticed multiple very small swimmers. After spraying my acquatic plants with liquid Seven, the population diminished a bit--I think. I now notice a more mature group of tadpoles. Knowing they will turn into frogs, I must discard of them as this is a contained area in the middle of my house. There is no escape for them as all four sides of the atrium are enclosed--it is only open to the sky. I would appreciate any advice on this matter. Already, the sounds of night critters from inside and outside of the atrium are equivalent to a symphony orchestra. I actually enjoy the sound but I don't think I could handle hopping frogs all over the place. Thanks for your support. CAT

Watering Plants - How often? How much water? My aunt has recently moved out of the state and is trying to sell her homes here. I was asked to help her water the plants at one of the houses so it would look presentable. Her instructions were to just go everyday to water the plants. Her "garden" consists mainly of greens and barely any flowers. Many of the flowers were dying when I got there, and even when I watered them, they still died. The live flowers are dying now as well. Some of the greens are fine while some are turning yellow. I don't know how much water to give the plants and how often. Her instructions are the same regardless of season. It is now winter and I am so clueless as to how much water to give the plants, because my mom (which she has NO business of) keeps accusing me of not doing my job cuz the flowers died.
